Asia Ping Test

Ping any IP or domain from 6 Asian locations: Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City.

Ping data for this region comes from public vantage points operated by check-host.net.

This Asia ping test measures live latency from six APAC locations to any IP address or domain: Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City.

Asia is the most fragmented continent for internet routing. Singapore and Jakarta sit close together but are often poorly peered, while Tokyo and Hong Kong are both major hubs. Testing from several cities is the only reliable way to see what your Asian users actually experience.

What Is an Asia Ping Test?

An Asia ping test sends ICMP echo requests to one target from several Asian vantage points simultaneously. It shows how a website, game server or API responds across South, Southeast and East Asia.

Because submarine cable capacity and peering agreements differ sharply by city, latency in Asia rarely follows straight-line distance. A request from Jakarta to Singapore can be slower than the same request from Tokyo, depending on which transit network carries it.

What You Need to Run the Test

A valid target: an IPv4 address or a domain name. Each node resolves the domain independently.

An ICMP-reachable host. Managed firewalls and many cloud load balancers drop ICMP by default and will look unreachable.

Four packets per node. The whole run completes in a few seconds, so it is easy to repeat during local peak hours.

How to Run an Asia Ping Test

Enter the IP address or hostname you want to test from Asia.

Press Start Asia Ping. All six locations ping the target in parallel.

Compare the rows city by city. The summary cards highlight the fastest Asian location and the average latency across reachable nodes.

How to Use Your Asia Ping Results

Choose an APAC region: Singapore is the usual hub for Southeast Asia, Tokyo for Japan and Korea, Mumbai for India.

Verify game server routing: Asia-Pacific shards for titles such as Valorant live in Singapore, so compare Mumbai against Singapore before picking a shard.

Check CDN edge coverage in India and Indonesia, the two markets where distance-driven latency is most visible.

Diagnose trans-border congestion: loss on a single city usually implicates one cable or carrier.

When an Asia Ping Test Does Not Help

ICMP ping shows network reachability, not application speed. It cannot explain a slow API call, a TLS negotiation problem, or a page that is only slow for one country. Many Asian hosters and cloud providers block ICMP, so those targets will appear unreachable even when fully online. Results also reflect the transit networks of the vantage points rather than the mobile or broadband ISP your users are on.

Asia Ping Test vs Global Ping Test

An Asia ping test gives six APAC vantage points and is the fastest way to compare Singapore against Tokyo, Mumbai or Jakarta. The global ping test covers Europe and Australia instead and plots results on a world map, which is better for comparing continents. Use the regional page for APAC deployment decisions and the global page for a worldwide overview.

Other Regional Ping Tests

  • Europe Ping Test — Ping any IP or domain from 6 servers across the Netherlands, France, Germany and England.
  • US Ping Test — Ping any IP or domain from 4 servers in Los Angeles, Dallas, Atlanta and New York.
  • Americas Ping Test — Ping from New York, Vancouver and Sao Paulo to cover North and South America together.
  • Middle East Ping Test — Ping any IP or domain from 4 Middle East nodes in Israel and Iran.
  • Turkey Ping Test — Ping any IP or domain from 2 Istanbul servers on the bridge between Europe and Asia.
  • Australia Ping Test — Ping any IP or domain from our Sydney server to measure latency from Oceania.

Testing a host from several continents at once? The global ping test pings your target from all of our nodes and draws every result on a world map. For a single known host, the Quick Ping pages are faster.
